from my gallery, day 3

This is a teeny tiny painting (3x4) on a chunk of scrap wood, painted by Diane Culhane. I took her workshop at ArtFest a couple years ago and wanted this memento. There is something magical about the worlds Diane depicts -- the wonky little houses dwarfed by giant leaf-shaped trees, the swirling clouds and flying people. I love her use of color and the way parts of the composition look almost like stained glass.
