A new year, a new blog
Howdy!
In the interest of adding some form of stable routine to my life, I'm going to try to post here more often. (Ha ha, more often than week-long spurts three times a year should be easy to accomplish!)
I am not a New Year's Resolutions kind of girl but I have made myself a few promises for 2008...
...communicate better...
...eat better...
...spend more time doing creative stuff...
...let go of perfectionist tendencies...
I'm convinced that last one is the key to the other three. So my blog posts won't always be useful or newsy or beautifully written, but they will be genuine and they will be plentiful!
For example, here is one Martha Stewart project I will NOT be making: personalized confetti.
Cute idea? Yes. Ridiculously time-intensive and fabulously hey-look-at-me? Uh huh. In the event that confetti is called for at any point in my life, I will be completely satisfied with plain old storebought, thanks.
So it may not be full of personalized confetti but here's to 2008 anyway, full of friends, art and laughter. Cheers!!
